CDC Insurance Agency – SMS Terms and Conditions

Please read these SMS Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully. By opting in to receive text messages (SMS) from CDC Insurance Agency ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our [link: Privacy Policy].

1. Program Description

CDC Insurance Agency offers mobile text messaging services to provide you with timely updates, account alerts, policy details, renewal reminders, claim updates, and requested insurance quotes or promotional offers. We may send messages using an autodialer or non-automated systems.

2. User Opt-In (Consent)

By providing your mobile phone number and checking the opt-in box on our web forms, or otherwise explicitly consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive SMS communications from us.

  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or a requirement to obtain insurance coverage from our agency.
  • By opting in, you confirm that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the mobile phone number provided.

3. Message Frequency and Rates

  • Message Frequency: The number of text messages you receive will vary depending on your interactions with us, your active policies, or requested services.
  • Cost: CDC Insurance Agency does not charge for sending text messages. However, message and data rates may apply from your wireless provider under your mobile service plan. Please contact your mobile carrier for details on your texting plan.

4. Supported Carriers

This program is available on most major US and Canadian mobile carriers. Delivery of messages is subject to the effective transmission of your wireless provider and is outside of our control. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. How to Opt Out (Unsubscribe)

You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time.

  • To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any text message you receive from us.
  • You can also text STOP directly to our texting number: 1 (818) 452-1680
  • After you send the keyword STOP, we will send you one final SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you choose to opt in again.

7. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our SMS program shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis, and you waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued consent to receive text messages following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
